If using daisy chain configuration on Thunderbolt or Firewire, try directly connecting the Drobo to the computer. UPDATE: I actually found a copy of all the old Dashboard Installer DMGs somewhere in my Time Machine (but not the actual app) and was able to copy that over and install 3.5.2, which, when active sees the DROBO and believes this is the most update version.
